The weather is great and it's time to start planning our summer events. There will be a Music Fest & Breast Cancer Benefit/Fund Raiser on Sunday, May 29, 1pm - 11pm. There is this special lady (one hot mega-mojo mama) whom I’ve known since I was 10 years old, who deserves our attention. 
Marilyn Blue, with the support of her husband Richie and their family and friends, has been battling breast cancer for 10 years. With no medical insurance, she has travelled around the state for treatment. She's an incredible woman and is a survivor, but could use a few laughs and some good company. This is where we come in. This day will be filled with lots of fun, so let's get everyone involved, raise a few bucks to help offset her huge medical expenses, and make it a memorable day for her.
Being an active musician in the area, Ritchie Blue has enlisted the help of his many friends involved in the local scene. It’s musicians helping musicians. Bands appearing at the benefit are Richie Blue & Blue Jacket, Mofo Party Band, Joe Boy Walton, Baby Bee & The Good Fellas, Memphis Blues, Breakaway, Electric Grease, and Jack & The Ripper Blues Band. They’ve even come up with a special drink in honor of Marilyn…it’s called M.O.P. (Marilyn’s Oil Poison) – Ask for it at the bar!
